Unique perchers
We went to the beautiful Pylewell Park in Hampshire for our Summer 2026 Royal Ascot Hat photoshoot
and Alice Hare created some sensational looks to pair our perchers.

Baltimore Bang is an Apricot hand blocked old straw side percher with sculptered ruched Apricot crin held with centre pearl balls.
Alice gives us the delicious cocktail hour look of the V V Chapeaux Baltimore Bang and a Lisa Redman polka dot dress. Other ingredients are Shell Earrings from Grainne Morton, Tusting handbag hung with V V Rouleaux key tassel, and shoes from Florrie London.
The Baltimore Bang originated in Maryland in the late 19th century - a dashing cocktail mix of bourbon whiskey, apricot brandy, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a hint of sugar.

Emerald Isle is a striking Emerald percher crafted from genuine Panama straw covered with hand-steamed pleated Emerald satin. Annabel has then added checkered emerald goose feathers with turks knot detailing.

Alice couldn’t resist the Italian vibes at the entrance to Pylewell Park so she plumped for three Italian brands to create this V V cool look - a Sara Roka belt, a Beatrice B top and a statement skirt by Lunatica Milano, all sourced from the wonderful Ella Boutique, just across the road from our Marylebone Lane store. The leaf detailing on the skirt’s print nods to the V V Chapeaux Emerald Isle top feathers, while a gold Lalage Beaumont bag, gold Florrie shoes and gold Soru earrings provide top-to-toe cohesion.

Melbourne Swirl is a Crocus Stamen old straw hand blocked side percher with looped swirls of crin in Nicotiana Green, folded crin bows in Pale Slate and centre vintage ombre enamel beads.
A flowing silk Sara Roka dress with belt by our lovely neighbour Ella Boutique of Marylebone Lane, which Alice styled with the loops and bows of the Melbourne Swirl. The earrings from Soru Jewellery and shoes from Florrie London completed a great Royal Ascot look.

Corbeville Plume is a Clotted Cream genuine Ecuadorian, straw hand woven and hand blocked, with vintage linen hand rolled petals and a Dark Bark ostrich plume waterfall pom. A naming nod to the chateau of the wonderful Jacques Fath.
With a hint of Jacques Fath from the Corbeville Plume, Alice felt she could create a fabulously subversive yet tailored look for Royal Ascot – a white suit from Mango, with a shirt by Shirt Company London rebelling with double collar and elongated cuffs, Shell earrings by Grainne Morton and a double-sided V V Rouleaux velvet ribbon, worn as a neck tie, and Rose Corsage are the final flourishes.

Adolfo's Roses is a Clotted Cream and Black genuine hand woven Ecuadorian percher, hand blocked with folded roses and petal drops. A naming nod to the revolutionary Cuban!
Alice brilliantly captures the allure of the 1930’s as Hollywood stars daringly dressed in trousers, by pairing Adolfo’s Roses with an Italian wool ME+EM suit, vintage earrings from Accessories of Old, and a selection of brooches from V V Rouleaux.

Vera's Bows is a Pale Plum old straw percher, hand blocked with Pale Plum crin bows and Rose Pink tight bud hellebore flowers. A naming nod to the wonderful milliner and spy Vera Leigh.
Another hint of 1930’s Hollywood as Alice pictures Vera’s Bows with a Blush Trouser Suit from ME+EM, Tie from Oliver Brown, shoes from Gina, and a Tusting bag.

Golden Corn is a Natural straw handblocked button with straw bows. A naming nod to the winner of the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster 1921.
To get a great race day look Alice paired it with Suzannah London's British Summer Embroidered Shirt Dress, earrings from Soru Jewellery, a bag from Launer London, and shoes from River Island.

Sunset Boulevard is a Deep Apricot old straw hand blocked percher encapsulated with Gold lace topped with Ernest Gelbard vintage hand rolled ombre organdy sweeping bows.
Stepping out confidentially in our Sunset Boulevard, Alice styled a super look for our Summer 2026 Royal Ascot Hat Campaign shot at the dreamy Pylewell Park. A fabulous Lisa Redman dress, Launer London bag with V V Rouleaux key tassel, shoes from Florrie London and earrings from Grainne Morton.

Midnight Bouquet is a Pitch Blue button percher with hand blocked Ernest Gelbard vintage 1950's flowers. We have painted the flowers and the edges of the organdy bows in Daffodil.
With a 50's A line and vintage flowers from Annabel archives, Alice gives a fusion of art and fashion with Skylence's fabulous Crane Dress and V V Chapeaux Midnight Bouquet, with earrings from Soro Jewellery, shoes from Florrie London, and a Tusting bag with a VVR key tassel.

Spring Deb is a Daffodil straw hand blocked button with Daffodil straw bows.
V V simple and elegant styling by Alice Hare for our Royal Ascot 2026 Hat Campaign as she combines a Lisa Redman summer tweed dress with The Spring Deb. Handbag by Launer London,
and earrings from Soru Jewellery. Perfect for Pylewell Park!
We were very lucky to shoot this campaign at Pylewell Park, a superb country house wedding and events venue.
Their team toss the rule book out the window and create a unique day for you - a perfect fit for the V V Chapeaux team!
