Some Royal Ascot looks to tickle your fancy
We went to the beautiful Pylewell Park in Hampshire for our Summer 2026 Royal Ascot Hat photoshoot
and asked the brilliant Alice Hare to style some V V memorable looks.
Cristóbal's Lace is a Pitch straw hand blocked side percher with vintage lace over topped with spiked Pitch Blue hand cut feather flowers.
Alice Hare has paid homage to Cristóbal Balenciaga’s wonderful eye for shape and created a beautiful silhouette with an Alessandra Rich Polka Dot dress and V V Chapeaux’s Cristóbal's Lace navy percher, a handmade bridal bag from Isla de Gar, and flower earrings from Cherie Jewels.
Vera's Plumes is a Grey Squirrel button percher encapsulated with Black lace daisies with cut feather wisps in grey, hand cut grey spikey feathers and rolled folded ranunculus. A naming nod to the inspirational milliner and spy Vera Leigh.
We paired it with a Karen Millen Trouser Suit, Earrings Pat’s by Patricia Cobiella and bag by Tusting.
Jessica's Ascot Feather is a Clotted Cream sinamay saucer with Pale Slate couture cut bunched goose feathers. There are vintage giant Lily of the Valley sprays, which we hand painted in our Atelier, with a giant row of pearl details. A naming nod to the great Jessica Daves, Vogue's editor in the 50's.
The chic silhouette of Claire Mischevani’s Chloe Trouser Suit is the perfect match for the wide brim of Jessica’s Ascot Feathers, and Alice has added an Isla de Gar bag, Soru earrings and Gina shoes to create an elegant look.
Alice has created the confidence of a rakish swagger giving this ME+EM three piece suit the full feather with Jacques’s Swan.
Jacques's Swan is a fabulous Black sinamay low crown saucer with couture Black and Silver leaf tipped ostrich fringe and vintage glazed cotton Black roses. A naming to the wonderful Jacques Fath.
The Vintage earrings are via Accessories of Old, and the brooches are from V V Rouleaux.
Paulette's Longchamp Plume is a Black theatrical veiled disc mounted headband with hand cut Black giant feather flowers and a Wine spikey checkerboard painted feather. A naming nod to the great milliner of theatre - Madame Paulette.
For a great race day look, Alice has paired this with a Trouser Suit by ME+EM, tie from Oliver Brown, shoes from Gina and a Tusting bag.
The Silver Screen Queen is a Metallic Silver side buntal percher with couture hand dipped metallic and Damson Silver feathers, sculptered ruched and with details of crystal damson beads.
Alice has created a great Royal Ascot look with a Raspberry Annabel Blow dress from Suzannah London and an Isla de Gar bag with shoes by Gina.
Jessica's Feather Wave is a Vintage Blusher sinamay wave side percher with Pale Azalea couture cut bunched goose feathers and two Ostrich quill sweeps. A naming nod to Jessica Daves, editor in chief of Vogue in the 50's - the Grande Dame of Fashion.
To compliment our large Jessica’s Feather Wave, Alice Hare accessorised a loose cut Karen Millen trouser suit with V V Rouleaux corsages and brooches, matched with earrings from Cherie Jewels and Tusting bag, on which we have jauntily hung a V V Rouleaux key tassel.
The Feather Bar is Clotted Cream large buntal blocked straw saucer with a Black giant dot crin edge, and topped with Black spikey feathers and flowers.
A naming nod to Dior's New Look of 1947 - one of our favourite inspirations.
Alice paired The Feather Bar with a vintage Oasis dress, vintage earrings from Accessories of Old, and Florrie London shoes, and Saffie took a well earned glass of Candover Brook sparkling wine.
We were very lucky to shoot this campaign at Pylewell Park, a superb country house wedding and events venue.
Their team toss the rule book out the window and create a unique day for you - a perfect fit for the V V Chapeaux team!
